This Interview was given to me by a local friend of mine, Ricky Gomez.  I would like to acknowledge him and extend a great deal of thanks to him for supporting me through the course of this interview, and my racing career.  You're a good friend.

McFresh is a creative nickname, how did you pick it up..

To tell you the truth, I can't remember that well.  I guess I just got it from Nathan Price and Brandon Holmes.

Everyone knows you as a crazy kind of guy.  What's the craziest thing you've ever done?

Wouldn't you like to know?  Here goes...  One night at about 10:00 Nathan Price and I decided to cut school and go riding with my Uncle Jeff, for all you concerned people out there, yes, out parents did know.  Anyway, we needed some supplies.  We went to Kroger in Rockwall at about Midnight looking for Gatorade.  We decided that since we were there that we could have some fun.  So, I started running around the store dropping stuff off the aisles acting like I was retarded.  Nathan would run around the school yelling "Bubba!!! Bubba!!! Where are you?   I'm going to tell Mom about this when we get home and she's going to beat you."  I don't know if that qualifies as crazy to some people but we both thought it was.

What is your favorite thing to do while you're not racing?

I like to go hang out with my friends,  play Basketball, and sit back and sip on some gin and juice while hot women deliver me my RacerX and other essentials needed for living.

You used to live in New York.  Would you like to stay here or move back there if given the chance?

Moving down here to Texas to live with my Uncle Jeff (E686) was sort of a big transition for me.  I think that it would of been for anyone.  Although I do miss my Mother and everything that I left in New York I feel that I am much better off down here and I like it a whole lot.  So, I would have to say if given the chance I would still stay here.

How far do you think you'll get into racing bikes?

It's hard to say right now.  I am going to continue racing TCCRA until I have to leave for school or some other big change.  Other than that I would have to say I'm going to ride until I can't ride anymore.

Is there anything holding you back from giving it your all?

There is always the fear of getting seriously injured.  I think that is in the minds of any Motorcycle Racer.  Injury is going to happen.  It is certain.  Although, it normally isn't to serious.  I would say that this is the only thing that is holding me back.  Although, it isn't holding me back much.

Are you serious about racing or is it just a past-time?

I am very serious in racing.  Although it is only my first season in TCCRA I have become hooked.  I would like to pursue racing as a career, but if that doesn't happen I will always have my education to fall back on.

We all know you've been getting injured lately.  Is that going to stop you from racing,? and has that ever made you think of quitting racing?

Like I said earlier, injury is certain.  I have had some pretty bad injuries racing but it would never make me want to give up racing.  Racing is what I love to do and I will continue to race until I can't race anymore.

What are you hoping to accomplish next year?

Next year I am hoping to finish top five overall for the year in the Amateur class, and then move up to the Intermediate class in 2002.

Who is your idol?

I would have to say Travis Pastrana.  He has battled back from serious injuries because he loves the sport just like me.  Also, even if her has a bad race or something goes wrong, he always has a smile on his face.

Where do you think you'll be ten years from now?

Hopefully I will be attending Med-School.  I have always wanted to become an Orthopedic Surgeon.  I'll let you know in ten years.....

Who would you like to acknowledge for helping you along the way?

I have many people to thank: Nathan Price J98, my Mom, my Grandparents, my Sponsors (Patman Racing, O'Neal Racing, Race-Tech Suspension, Bell Helmets).  But most of all I would like to thank my Uncle Jeff (E686).  He was the one that got me started in Motorcycles and he has supported me through it.

Have the injuries been hard on you?

Not really.  They side-lined me for a while.  My broken femur in March of 98 was the worse.  I was laid up in a Hip-Spica cast for three months.

Who would you really like to thank for cheering you on at the races?

I would like to thank my normal Cheering Section: Nathan Price J98, Caleb Coleman J354, Brad Walker N316, Pat Burroughs J19, Bob and Judy, Jerry Walker, The Price Family.  I would most of all like to thank Brandon Holmes and Clay Masterson.  They would always cheer me on at the races and I think that even now they are looking down on me when I'm having a good race.

What makes you want to come back after getting injured?

The love of it.  I love TCCRA and Motorcycle Racing and injuries couldn't take it away from me.

Thanks alot Mike for taking the time to answer these questions.  Good luck for the remainder of the season and good luck in 2001.
